My wonderful mom turned 60 today! Wow! I turned 30 yesterday! Wow! To celebrate, our family went to the OC for the day. My mom wanted to visit Roger's Garden. We spent a couple hours there enjoying the beautiful flowers and plants. Later we ate lunch at a Vietnamese Vegeterian Restaurant. Yummy! A picture of the whole family...all because two people fell in love. As a result, my parents have four daughters, one son, two son-in-laws, three granddaughters and one grandson.

Oh and did I mention, I turned the big 3-0 yesterday? Unbelievable. I was not really looking forward to leaving my 20s. My 20s were great! Soo many memories I will forever cherish, like finishing undergraduate and graduate school, getting married, starting my teaching career, having a baby. While lying in bed for the night, I felt I had to commerate the beginning of my 30s by doing something that would make me feel ALIVE. So I forced hubby out of bed, dragged him outside our backyard, and the two of us danced and kissed under the rain. Ha! Looking at the night sky that day, I was able to feel my Heavenly Father wrap His loving arms around me and wishing me a happy birthday! Now I am excited to see what the good Lord will bring my way the next ten years! |
