Caleb Matthew
Hello everyone! Please join us in welcoming our son into the world, Caleb Matthew.
He was born on July 6, 2011 at 6:05pm. Weighing in at 5lbs and 1 oz, he is tiny but mighty. Born 5 weeks and 3 days early he is doing well and avoided the NICU without any complications. Praise God for His protection and blessings on mama and baby.
Some reminders of his namesake...
Joshua and Caleb were two of the 12 spies sent to scope out Canaan before the Israelites took possession of it. While everyone feared the challenges of entering the promised land, Caleb spoke up and alluded to how God lead them in the past, and assured the people that He will carry them through by His *grace* and power.
And so...
Caleb calmed down the crowd and said, " Let's go and take the land. I know we can do it!" Numbers 13:30

Congrats!!! Two of my friends' sons were both born on July 4th (a year apart) and both are named Caleb!!! Two other friends named their sons Joshua, and the other Caleb. Caleb's family moved away but they are still good friends when they do get together! Anyhow, take care and get some rest when you can!! =) How big sis G doing?
