Hubby helped me in the kitchen tonight. That’s always loads of fun for me since cooking is one of my favorite past times. We turned on our indoor grill and made some veggie shish kabobs. Hmm…I was thinking of posting more pictures of our dinners…since so many of our friends always ask us what we vegetarians eat (I do cook salmon once a week). Would that interest any of my readers out there?

Whoa did any of you see this great celestial event today? After dinner tonight we high-tailed it to Griffith Observatory to be part of this amazing event. Lots of other people were there too and all very excited to see planet Venus position itself in front of the sun. This won’t ever happen again till the year 2117! That’s 105 more years! So cool my kids got to be there.

Saw Rob Schneider and his beautiful wife at the Americana Mall today! He was on the playground and next to the slide when Grace went down. He cheered her on and said, “Yea, good job!” Didn’t get a picture with them cause hubby thought it’d be embarrassing!

This Mama got dressed up and did her hair and makeup today for church! Mental note: Gotta take much better care of myself!

During breakfast this morning, when papa was walking out the door for work, Grace says, “I want papa to take a big dump at work.”

What?! My sweet precious girl unduly influenced by her father!

The kids and I spent the day at home recovering from the 3 day weekend. We had a relaxing day and spent most of the day outside playing on the playground, dipping our feet in the pool and picking fresh hydrangeas. The weather in LA has been gorgeous! It’s going to be a great summer!

I just downloaded a xanga app. Hopefully I can now post pictures directly from my iPad.

There is so much handsome in this house lately!!!  So much handsome!!! 

Happy Mother’s day to all the lovely mothers out there.  I got the best gift of all for Mother’s Day.  Grace is fully and completely potty-trained!!!!  I never thought the day would come.  But it’s true!  How did it happen?  Well, after her third birthday I made a big deal about how she’s not a baby anymore and that she doesn’t need to wear diapers.  I told her that from now on she was never ever going to wear diapers again during the day.  For three whole weeks she made lots and lots of messes.  It was the hardest time for me ever, dealing with a 9 month old and her pee/pooping everywhere!  But thanks to the consistency, it finally clicked in her brain and one day she said those words…”I need to go pee!!!!” She has not looked back!  What a great feeling to finally have a daughter who is potty trained!!!!

Brother also gave me a nice gift.  He started sleeping 10-11 hours straight a night!  Hope this lasts.  I think I’m slowly getting my life back. 

It’s been awhile.  The kids are wearing me out each and everyday.  But what is new?  Caleb is now 9 months old and starting to pull himself up wanting to stand and walk.  He is getting into everything!  I fear the kid will fall and hit himself hard.  I always have to watch his every move.

Grace is turning 3 years old in a week.  She is such a good older sister and takes good care of brother.  The temper tantrums seem a bit less.  We are still working on potty training.  I can’t believe it’s been almost 8 months that I’ve been working on her to use the toilet and still not 100% sucessful.  I made the mistake that first week of potty training and took a break to go to Vegas for a medical conference.  The inconsistency has made this process soooo long and arduous.  I’ve tried EVERYTHING to get this girl to go.  I’ve come to realize that Grace KNOWS how to pee/poo in the toilet…she just doesn’t want to.  So most days she is like 60% successful.  I still trudge along hoping one day all my nagging will pay off and she will see the light and decide to get rid of the diapers once and for all!!!!!  Any advice for this frazzled mommy will be happily received!

We are settling in here just nicely thank you very much.  Been so busy unpacking and putting things in places where they belong.  I’m so grateful for more closet space! This house is amazing.  The owners really spent time upgrading this home and I just love having more room to breath, so to speak.

Hope everyone had a lovely LOVE day.  As usual, hubby and I opted to celebrate (with kiddos) today since it is our 14.5 year anniversary together!  Wow, when I write that out it seems like such a loooong time.  Things haven’t changed much between us two…still love that guy so much.  We had some Himalayan food today.   That was a first for both of us and it was pretty good.  I would describe it as similar to Indian but not as spicy and oily.  Later we had the most delicious macarons cookie desserts ever!  I am in love with these little pieces of heaven.  We got a dozen and between the three of us they went so fast.  Surprised I even had enough left over to take some pictures of. 

Oh and that picture was taken with my new iPhone 4s.  Man, I thought this whole iPhone thing was fad.  I now know why people love it so much.  I love my new phone.  So many new features I never knew existed that I know for sure now that I can’t live without.  Like speaking my text messages and asking for directions without even having to type in a single word.  AWesome!!
